28 years ago today

my baby daughter was born.  LeAnne came into the world at 8 lbs and 6 oz.  She was a cute baby and now she is beautiful woman.  Her beauty is physical and spiritual.  Can you tell that I’m proud.  I don’t deny it.  She survived her teens, married much too young, and has 2 adorable children.  Now, she is planning to go back to school and get an RN. Yep, I’m proud of who her.  Wow, those 28 years have passed fast.

I finally got back in the studio today.  Painting is like any thing else.  One has to work at it to stay in shape.  I told my husband that today after he had yet another lousy game of golf.  Of course, he hadn’t played in over a month, so what did he expect.  The painting I worked on today wasn’t going very well, so I wiped it off (an advantage of oils) and started over again.  No, I don’t consider those 4 hours a waste…just practice.  Next time some one asks “how long did it take you to paint that”, should I tel them about the number of times a given canvas has been redone?  No, it might hurt the “artist mystic”.  Ha!
